Philippines: Pork Barrel Part 3: The SURRENDER And The Corruption Loop

In the previous post i wrote about the rich and the poor and inequality as the main problem.

In this blog, i will look at the surrender of the main person in the pork barrel scam and how the problem of corruption will continue until the plight of the poor and unemployed is addressed.

The person who was alleged to have been part of this pork barrel scam surrendered on August 28, 2013 to the President of the Philippines according to the news.

Here's the link :

http://philippinesgoforgold.blogspot.com/2013/08/janet-napoles-surrender-on-august-28-to.html

This came after the Luneta Rally which were attended by about 75,000 people according to the news.

What now?

Does that mean the problem of corruption will not be here?

It will be here until we understand where this all started and provide a solution that will stop the problem in its roots.

We have to see what's really going on here.

Why is it that we have not stopped corruption?

We are not seeing the root of the problem and we are NOT providing an effective solution.

The consequence of an unbalanced economy is what we have now in terms of the pork barrel scam.

I will not name names here, but here is a general outline of what happens when corruption in government takes place and this is what i gathered from the news bits that i read and watched. I am showing this outline here, and in my next blog, i will show how this pattern has happened before and that we are re-living this pattern as a consequence of not stopping the actual root of the problem which is poverty.

1. The poor asks for help from the government and the government tries to help them by allocating funds for different projects like housing etc.
2.The politicians campaign to be elected and wins the election
3. The politicians fear not being re-elected, and figures out that the best way to win is to give help to others - which is called public relations - so desires to help others to be re-elected so that he/she can have both money and power but never really see the real problem is poverty/inequality in society
4. The politicians are given funds by the government agency concerned to help the poor
5. Someone who knows how to manipulate the relationship that exist between the rich and the poor registers many Foundations and ask the politician friends for funding to help the poor through funding the Foundations
6.The politicians sign documents to give funds to this  person's Foundations to help the poor
7.The owner/owners of the foundation did not deliver the service to the poor but instead pockets the money and used the money to live in luxury
8.The 'third whistleblower' was allegedly detained by the alleged mastermind
9. The government agency responsible rescued the 'third whistleblower' from the condominium of the alleged mastermind
10. The 'thirdwhistleblower' gave some names of some politicians her former employer, the alleged mastermind talks to
11. The government issues a warrant of arrest to the alleged mastermind
12.The alleged scammer hides/flees
13. Money is offered as a reward for the surrender of the person
14. The alleged mastermind said she fears for her life, so, surrenders to President Aquino
and is now in custody.

How many cases like these have we seen?

We have seen many, and many more will come.

While someone surrenders, Inequality and Poverty remains.

Corruption is about deception and self-dishonesty.

When there's Fear of Survival in a world of inequality,  people try to win impulsed by fear of losing.

In an unbalanced economy people wants/desires to get money in whatever way possible to survive or win because it becomes like a giant casino where competition is the 'name of the game' where only the winners survive. The rich becomes the winner and the poor becomes the losers. In the end, we will face the consequence of what we accepted and allowed. We all suffer - we all lose.

What we do not realize is that in an unbalanced economy, there will always be corruption.

We are creating what i call a 'Corruption Loop':

The 'CORRUPTION LOOP':

>Inequality/Poverty in the society
>
>
>Inequality/Poverty continues
>Corruption is still here
>Government provides a solution but not a solution to end the problem of poverty/inequality
>Inequality/Poverty continues
>Corruption is still here
>Government provides a solution but not a solution to end the problem of poverty/inequality
>Inequality/Poverty continues

This loop starts and ends in Poverty/Inequality. The Desire to help the poor is fueled by Fear which we refuse to face as Fear of Survival in an Unequal world. Let's have a look

>Inequality/Poverty is a problem in society
>Government tries a temporary way to solve this problem and does not provide a permanent solution to the problem, so the problem persist.
> Politicians Fear not being re-elected so desires to help to be re-elected
(fear of survival which fuels the desire for money and power to win)
> Politicians Desire to win the elections to get more money and power to survive in a competitive world
>the poor asks for help
(fear of survival which fuels desire to survive through crime etc. to win)
>Politicians see there are funds in office for the poor
> Politicians sign documents to allocate funds to the Foundations who are not delivering what's promised
>The funds given to the foundations were not used to help the poor but was pocketed by the owners of the Foundation
(fear of survival which fuels the desire to live life in luxury to win)
>The 'third whistleblower' was allegedly detained by the alleged mastermind
>The government agency responsible rescued the 'third whistleblower' from the condominium of the alleged mastermind
>The 'third whistleblower' gave some names of some politicians her former employer, the alleged mastermind talks to
>Another whistleblower who worked with the alleged mastermind detailed how they get funds to fund the fake Foundations
>The government issues a warrant of arrest to the alleged mastermind
>The alleged scammer hides/flees
>Money is offered as a reward for the surrender of the person
>The alleged mastermind said she fears for her life, so, surrenders to President Aquino
and is now in custody
>Government tries to solve problem of corruption
>Government provides a temporary solution but not a permanent solution to end the problem of poverty/inequality
>Inequality continues
>corruption is still here
>Government provides a temporary solution but not a permanent solution to end the problem of poverty/inequality
>Inequality continues
>corruption is still here
>Government trying to provide a temporary solution but not a permanent solution to end the problem of poverty/inequality
>Inequality/Poverty continues

What did we learn so far?

The rich (the scammer and the politician) and the poor(supposed to be the receiver of funds/services from the Foundation) have desires and these desires are fueled by fear of survival.

The poor is also treated as a victim and the politicians as the savior, where one is perceived as inferior and the other is perceived as 'superior'. This is not about Love but about winning and losing - competition.

Why cannot we give the poor a Basic/Living Income, Guaranteed?

If we do not give the poor what is due them, the poor who is the majority (99%) will protest and ask for their rightful share. We all know that the earth has given enough for all of us equally, not just for a few to survive.

We have to give them their rightful share. This is the essence of giving what we liks to receive. If we do not do this, we all lose.

We are impulsed by our environment. When we see poor people who suffer and who do not eat 3x a day,we fear that we will end up like them so we feel obliged to help them so we can feel 'good' about ourselves. This is being self-dishonest. This is giving help from the starting point of self-interest.

Why do we not find a way to stop poverty by giving the poor their rightful share in what the earth gives us all equally? We only care about ourselves. We invent all the reasons why it cannot be done and so we end up giving up.

Instead of giving up, why don't we nationalize corporations who get profit from the earth's natural resources, like water, oil etc. and share these profits to the poor and the unemployed by giving them a Basic/Living Income, Guaranteed from birth to death, this way we can truly say that we LOVE others.

How can we truly love others if we see them as someone less than us? We can't.

Love is not about a feeling. It is giving what we want to receive.

Love is about walking with others as our equals.

Real love is only possible between equals. Otherwise any form of help is deceptive because it will be used to feel better about one's own evil intentions which is to keep the country/world unequal so we, as the elite can take what belongs to the poor and give them a little bit of what they have so we can have a tax deduction for the same amount- within self-interest.

This is very clear:

The elite/rich eat 3x a day.

The poor does not eat 3x a day.
The elite/rich people have homes.
The poor people live in the street, in smoky mountain (garbage dump area) or in squatter areas
The elite/rich have flushing toilets and use toilet papers.
The poor have toilet holes with no toilet papers.

If we keep providing charity for the poor, but refuse to give them a Basic/Living Income Guaranteed from birth to death, we will not provide an effective solution. The poor will be poor and the economy will not be balanced. We also have to look at the consequence for accepting and allowing an unequal world system. This is not the way to live. This is abuse of the poor.

We have to restore a balanced economy.

We also connect words to other words. We grew up using words that are biased.

We define the word 'poor' within the word' rich' and define the word 'inferior' within the word 'superior' etc.

So, as we provide a real solution by giving the poor a means to live in dignity by nationalizing coporations that get profit from natural resources like water, oil etc. and giving part of our profit to the poor, so they can get a Basic/Living Income, Guaranteed, we also have to correct and remediate our vocabulary.

Philippines: Pork Barrel Protest Part 2: Problem Is Not Understood

In the previous blog, i found out in my investigation that inequality is behind the problems in society.

I also looked at politician's starting point in funneling funds to their constituents as they're desiring to be re-elected, as this is what appeared in the news. Here's a copy, for perspective:

>The 'third whistleblower' gave some names of some politicians , her former employer, the alleged mastermind talks to
>Another whistleblower who worked with the alleged mastermind detailed how they get funds to fund the fake Foundations

In this blog, i am looking at the lifestyle of the poor and the rich and the pork barrel scam as part of the consequence of accepting and allowing inequality in society.

Pork Barrel Protest Video:
http://www.reuters.com/video/2099/01/01/reuters-tv-video?videoId=258679523

Some of the protester's words in the video (at :22):

'Ayaw namin ng pork barrel. Ibigay sa Urban Poor. Magpatayo ng mga pabahay.'

Translated in English,

'We do not want pork barrel. Give to the Urban Poor. Build houses.'

We as the elite of this world who can afford a flushing toilet, forget that we are not the only ones here living in this world. There are others who does not have a flushing toilet.

In this pork barrel protest video posted above:
http://www.reuters.com/video/2099/01/01/reuters-tv-video?videoId=258679523

We see the inequality that is existent in this world. The elite laughing and dancing with friends and the poor using the protest to ask for some money from the government (at :22):

We should not abuse the authority that was given to us by the people who vote for us.

The real authority is the one that stands for what is best for everyone.

The government needs to make sure that every person -  in the whatever country one governs - survive and that no one starve to death because if we do not do this there will be consequence, as we can see daily in the news. We can see this clearly by looking at what is happening now in this world.

The consequence of allowing a system of abuse on earth will be here and will affect our lives until we stop and pave the way for the poor and the unemployed to have access to the basic necessities they need to survive. The corporations who profit from the natural resources given to all by the earth can be nationalized and can share their profits to the poor in the form of a Basic/Living Income Guaranteed. This way there will be a lot of money in circulation and there will be demand for the products of the corporation and so the corporation can supply the products needed. This way everybody wins.

Is the pork barrel scandal a consequence of living in a world of inequality?

Using commonsense, i say, yes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrzCIqF5r2k
.
We can see that the elite eats and parties, and have a choice in what food to eat and can have breakfast, lunch and dinner plus desserts with snacks or 'merienda' in between because they have money to pay for the food.

They can also afford to gift their children luxurious  gifts like a porche (see the video link).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZUzLgcCfJk

It is to realize that the best gift - is to give to all equally as the earth does.

I interviewed a taxi driver when i visited the Philippines in 2002 and he told me he is earning  3,000 pesos a month (equivalent to more or less $60 a month). He's got 3 kids and i asked him if it is enough money to feed his family. He told me that sometimes they do not eat 3x a day and that they try to live within their means.

We created the poor in our society.

We accepted and allowed an unequal world system where the elites like us have flushing toilets while the poor pass their stool in the middle of the forest. with no toilet papers using coconut husks to wipe their bums.

The earth has given its resources to all of us equally.

We have to make sure the poor has money to buy the basic necessities they need to survive.

We all live in this one life and whatever we do here in this physical existence, there is consequence.

Philippines: Pork Barrel Protest Part 1: CORRUPTION AND THE REAL SOLUTION:

Philippines preempts protest, says to plug leaks in 'pork barrel' funds

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/08/23/us-philippines-aquino-idUSBRE97M09A20130823

'Lawmakers use pork barrel money to finance projects for their constituencies, aiding their re-election. The government, past and present, has also used the fund as a form of reward for lawmakers for their loyalty and support in key reform and legislative measures, analysts said.

The controversy erupted after a state audit of the 2007 to 2009 pork barrel funds showed that some lawmakers had funneled about 10 billion pesos ($226 million) in total to non-existing projects and non-government organizations during the previous government of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, now under detention for plunder and electoral fraud.'

The Philippines had been wanting to solve the problem of corruption for a very long time.

It is trying to 'right the wrong'.

But, the REAL problem is not understood

Let's have a look :

>The 'third whistleblower' gave some names of some politicians, her former employer, the alleged mastermind, talks to
>Another whistleblower who worked with the alleged mastermind, detailed how they get funds to fund the fake Foundations

So, as we can see, the real problem is inequality in the system.

Any change that is NOT addressing the root cause of this problem is bound to fail.

We have to balance the ecosystem of money.

We have to give the poor and the unemployed a Basic/Living Income Guaranteed.

With the Basic/Living Income Guaranteed, things will change.

The corporations who get profit from the resources given by the earth like oil, water etc. has to share the profit to the poor and unemployed.

Rice: The Real Secret That No One Wants You To Know: Healthy Eating, Futures and Money Part 3

This Blog Is A Continuation Of These Blogs:
ABOUT RICE
In my previous post, i wrote about Rice, staying fit, and how the media impulse us to buy a product through impulsing our desires.

In this post, i am looking at how we humans are using rice in making money for ourselves by trading it in the commodity futures market, our desires and fears within healthy eating, how we create the pharmaceutical industry within our own acceptance and allowance, and how this leads to abuse of animals in laboratories which we also protest against which creates the cycle of abuse that we refuse to see the real solution.

Commodities futures Trading is similar to stock trading but to know more about the specifics about Commodity Futures Trading, have a look at these quotes and the link below it:

'In finance, a futures contract (more colloquially, futures) is a standardized contract between two parties to buy or sell a specified asset of standardized quantity and quality for a price agreed upon today (the futures price or strike price) with delivery and payment occurring at a specified future date, the delivery date. The contracts are negotiated at a futures exchange, which acts as an intermediary between the two parties.'

Link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodity_futures

So, just like humans, plants have a 'purpose' in this world.

Plants/Rice/Food supports our body to survive by giving the body nutrients the body needs.

But the question i ask myself is:
Why is rice one of the commodities being traded in the futures market?

It is used to earn money for some people who trade rice in the commodity futures.

Isn't it enough to use rice to support our body to get the nutrients our body needs or use it within our lives in many ways supporting us in this world?

From Wikipedia: Rice Nutrition Information

White Rice
Rice White Long grain cooked
Rice White Long grain raw

Brown Rice
Rice Brown Long grain cooked
Rice Brown Log grain raw

Unfortunately, in this unequal world system driven by the desire to win fueled by fear of survival/ fear of losing (money etc.,) we trade rice in commodity futures for money and profit.

We humans do not really care about the rice's, human's, animal's or any plant's expression in this world as a plant/human/animal equal to the expression of all.

Well, we say we do. Most of us who are rawfoodists or who are vegans, vegetarians etc. have composts at home and believe we take care of our environment and since we do not use pesticides in our garden, we say we are 'special' people because we 'care for our environment, we care about animals and plants, but do we really?

Questions:

*How come we do not care enough to look at how we resource the body for energy for the mind to exist - and how this can cause disease, rather, we blame the food/plants/animals etc. for causing our illnesses?

*How come we do not care enough about the living condition of us all - and ask ourselves,

'does all of us have enough money to buy the basic necessities we need to survive to live in dignity in this one Life?'

*How come we only care about our own beliefs, ideas about health etc. and how we can win through our choice of food never really looking at animals and vegetables as our equals?

*How come we care only about our own 'specialness', within our own desire to 'win' not seeing and realizing that it is our fear of sickness that fuels our desire for healthy foods that we are projecting to food ?

We say, ' we care about plants and animals'

Or is it about 'caring' for someone that will give us something in return, either health, money or 'beauty'?

We are promoting for people to eat healthy

We are doing this because we desire health, beauty, the fountain of youth etc. and we are projecting our desires on others

Did we investigate what fuels this desire?

No

We did not see that it is fueled by fear of sickness/death/survival.

We did not see that we are promoting an 'idea' of what it means to be healthy - within self-interest, rather than developing an equal and one relationship with the body as who we are as 'part' of life, expressing as life and caring for others as our equals.

We accumulate 'specialness' by talking about healthy eating, superfoods, special diets etc.

We participate in talks where we say animal meat is apparently 'bad' for us, and how 'good' vegetable meat/veggie meat is, or how good 'lean foods' are and how bad 'fatty foods' are.

We did not see that within our participation in the polarity of 'good' and 'bad' - declaring animal meat as unhealthy and vegetable meat as healthy, we are creating the very problem that we 'protest against'.

We are impulsed by the desire to be slim/fit/beautiful/sexy/healthy fueled by the fear of sickness/death/survival.

When we look closely, we will see that the pharmaceutical industry impulse our desire also to be healthy, to win and to survive.

This desire is fueled by fear of sickness/death/survival, where one perceives a loss (perceived possibility of 'ending' ones Life when sick or terminally ill) and so it provides us a means to survive = MEDICINE.

Isn't this the exact same button the health industry is pushing?

Desire for health/longevity/youth/beauty/survival.

What about the negative point that fuels it?

Are we aware that these desires are fueled by Fear of sickness/survival/death?

No, and we do not care. Yet we speak as if we are all 'experts' in the field of health and nutrition.

The health and wellness industry impulses our desire to win/survive/be healthy just as pharmaceutical industries do.

We do not see what we create this paranoia of eating healthy within our minds.

We are too busy desiring the healthiest food on earth to notice.

What fuels this desire to win/be healthy/survive/be beautiful/be young?

Fear of sickness/survival/death.

Behind all these is money and profit.

When we protest against animal testing, our starting point is fear of survival. Why? Because the animals like monkeys, rats etc. are being tested to make medicines or other products to make the stuff we need to satisfy our desire to be healthy/be young/be beautiful/to survive

So we create a cycle of abuse without even being aware of it.

Why do we desperately want to win?

Our Desire to win comes from our Fear of Losing or fear of surviving.

We exist in an unequal monetary system where our own survival is not guaranteed in this world.

We do not see that within an unequal world = we all loose.

There is always the need to get more for oneself fueled by the fear that one day there might not be enough to make us survive.

So it is important to change the system of inequality to one where we all survive as equals - where the poor and unemployed are being given a Basic/Living Income, Guaranteed from birth to death. The corporations who profit from the natural resources of the earth like oil, water etc. can share their profits to the poor and the unemployed. This way, people have money to purchase products they need and corporations and businesses will have buyers for their products. This way everyone wins.

Let's look at how else we humans make money.

Interestingly enough aside from eating rice, we also trade rice in the futures market for money and profit.

Here, we can see that the desire to win and the fear of losing is the driving force for the futures market.

The question i ask myself is:
Does human feelings and emotions drive prices of commodities?

Are we creating our own problems?

Using commonsense, i would say yes, we do.

In futures trading it is called  risks transfer mechanism

Do we have a solution? Yes, BIG/LIG (Basic/Living Income Guaranteed)

and how i created it
within my own acceptances and allowances
in 'my within' - as the mind

I realized it is important
to talk and write about my secret mind
so all may see and hear
what we all refuse to see and hear
to come to a point of being self-honest about
who we have become - as the personality

I realized my secret mind is no secret anymore

I started  writing what 'i don't want' to write

I started writing about my fears, my thoughts, my backchats
etc.

I started to see my ego
as who i have become
as the personality
that stands for 'what is best for me'
as the me, I and myself personality
one who only cares about 'my family'
'my friends', 'my group'

I started to rewrite myself

I started to stop participating
in 'yoga and meditation' where i used
self-hypnosis and imagination to create a bubble
of  'love is all there is'
when the world is full of
human right abuses
animal right abuses
plant right abuses etc.

I started to challenge my beliefs

I started investigating who i have become

I saw
my fears
my thoughts
my backchats
my reactions
my behaviors
my judgments
my beliefs
my excuses
my justifications
me blaming others
my self-dishonesty
my starting point which is self-interest etc.

Investigating the things i don't want to see nor hear nor write

I started to see that i connected words to other words
and defined words within other words

I started to see that i judge others

I started to see my fears

I started to see that i manipulated my behavior to do what
my mind wants to do

I started to see how i react to others

I started to hear my backchats that i tried to cover-up with 'love and light' for 29 years

I started to look at my thoughts

I started to look at my food programming
which relates to my involvement in the following:

breatharianism
rawfoodism
vegetarianism
veganism
fruitarianism
liquidarianism
sungazing etc.

'desiring to become' the 'special' personality
that is believed to be 'more than' who i really am

not seeing and realizing
that that desire is fueled by my fear of losing
in a world of competition
in a world of inequality
in a world where survival is not guaranteed for all from birth to death

not seeing and realizing
i am a human
equal to all humans, equal to all animals, equal to all plants,  etc.

by virtue of the fact that
we are made of the same substance = the dust of the earth

I started to forgive myself
and started committing to
correcting myself

I started directing myself
to apply myself practically
and live
in  this physical world
based on commonsense

I started to see that
what is best for all
is really what is best for me

I saw that
what i accepted and allowed in this world
does not benefit all - and that it is based on self-interest

As i started rewriting the words i started rewriting myself

As i started rewriting myself
and started directing myself to change in my physical world

I started to see some changes

I started to see what living means

I started to see that it is possible to birth a new me

I started to see that it is possible to birth a new world

A world that stands for what is best for all

BEAST as Standing for What is BEST for All

Bernard Quotes:

'I commit myself to show, that Life as ‘lifestyle’ as origin as source as resource, is Given: Equally – to every Body of Life; and that dominion is to those that are able to distribute this which is Given Freely, Equally to All – that no-one may need or desire anything that will cause this separation that now exist as ‘lifestyle’ on Earth.'

'I commit myself to Call on those claiming to be experts in Economics, to remove their Fears and prejudices, and to walk in Forgiveness for what they have allowed on Earth, and to rectify the situation so that All Life may be Equal at the table, prepared for Each One to have enough to Eat and Drink, and to have a Home and a lifestyle worth Living to such measure that that is the Inheritance they give to All Children that may ever be born on Earth for All Time – as that is the Foundation of Eternal Peace and Love on Earth'
