Living My Utmost Potential 10: Creating Low Salt and Low Sugar Meals and Recipes

Taste had been the driving force when I eat since I was young - eating all kinds of food items. It was also true when I became a vegetarian, a raw vegan and a fruitarian. I found out that the reason for this is because I use food to cover-up the perceived 'lack' in my life.

This can be lack of a relationship partner, lack of friends, lack of something to do etc. which I attached to being incomplete. These are really my fears that I am trying to run away from and me running after the food I desire the taste of - to complete my 'experience of myself' in life.

The taste of food gives me a certain feeling of fullness and satisfaction which I interpreted as me feeling complete and happy.

 I also prepare food that others will like so that they will feel satisfied and happy.

The meaning of food was missed in the process of preparing food.

Food is a substance that nourish the body

I would like to look at this food preparation mind pattern here which is about preparing 'tasty food' used to please others:

>I want to cook tasty food
>I know they would enjoy some exotic dishes
>so let me prepare exotic tasting meals
>something that they have not tasted yet
>that will make them happy and content
>then they will come and visit again
>if I do not make the food tasty
>they will not come

Here, there is a desire that I am trying to satisfy through preparing tasty food for others. I always make sure I season the food well so that It will satisfy others and make them happy.

 This is true when I prepare food for guests. It is about me having a feeling that I have done something great which is not really what food is about. So, having realized this, i can forgive myself and correct this pattern.

The  video above was taken when I gave a cooking class where I decided to not add salt in the food that I was preparing. I ate it and really enjoyed it. The guests also enjoyed it. I realized it was just my fear of the food i prepared being disliked that stops me from serving low salt and low sugar food (bland food). In the video you will see that most of the students attending did not like to add salt to the food.

I realized from the class that there is a potential that can usher a new way of preparing food and this can be done in the food industry also.

Instead of food being served in restaurants from the starting point of taste, we can decide to prepare food from the starting point of nutrition. It is about us changing the way we see food and prepare food. Change starts from us. We created these 'positive and negative judgments' within our minds so we can also un-create it. The world system is a reflection of ourselves.

 Animal meat, vegetables and fruits have their own subtle tastes.

Vegetables, nuts, fruits and animal meat have their own sodium content,

Spinach = 24 mg
Pork =  1283 mg
Kiwi = 5 mg
Cashews = 3 mg

Sodium

Realizing and Living My Utmost Potential 9: Health, Teaching and A Family of 4 Attending My Cooking Class

 Links To Parts 1-8 of Realizing and Living My Utmost Potential

A family of 4 attended my cooking class last July 25. The Mom, the Dad and the two kids were present - one girl and 1 boy. The boy is 12 years old and the girl is 10 years old.

 The 12 yr old was the first to volunteer to do the cooking and then the 10 year old. I set it up in such a way that we'Il be selecting our own ingredients ourselves.
So, rather than me being the authority for all to look up to for information and knowledge regarding how to cook, how and what to cook, I gave everyone the authority to decide what ingredients to cook with.

I see teaching as an equal and one opportunity to guide oneself, and so others, to train/walk the process to learn from ones own exploration of the physical such as within cooking - which is about exploring the physical act of cooking coming from a starting point of what is best for oneself in terms of individual nutrition to support the body optimally, and what is best for all - where animals and plants are not judged as good or bad, but rather, acknowledged for being here to support the body to survive through proper farming methods that will give them the care they need where they will also be able to express themselves.

Here's how I saw a cooking class before and I want to look at my mind pattern:
>I have to show everyone how good i am in cooking
>but someone might be better than me
>ooops I better brush up on my cooking skills

In this mind pattern i have an idea of what a cooking class should be. Then, i project my  compared myself with others in the class or  the iron chefs for example on tv, where I am impulsed by what i've seen in the media. I then judge myself as inferior and then compete with them in my mind - where the definition of the word 'cooking' itself was not seen, but was associated to a subjective interpretation of reality. Instead of forgiving myself for this, I believed that was a normal thing to do, not realizing this is consequential for the body as I manipulate my body to manifest my mind's desire rather than express myself as who I really am within what I do.

So here's my self- forgiveness for being directed by the mind:
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have the idea that i have to show everyone how good i cook believing what I saw in the media that good cooks become famous and is being paid more money. I forgive myself that i have accepted and allowed myself to judge myself as inferior then project the polarity opposite of that onto someone believing that - my interpretation was what it was in reality. I forgive myself that i have accepted and allowed myself to brush up on my cooking skills as a form of manipulation - manipulating the body to learn and enact what i desire.

Cooking
The act of preparing something (as food) by the application of heat
My Expanded Definition: Food as a substance that nourishes the body is being applied with heat or being prepared to make it easy to digest so nourishment can be distributed to the body.

During the beginning of the class, I asked everyone what is their definition of 'Health'. What I got was:
'Health is giving your body that which is good'
 'Health is not giving your body that which will make it sick'
 'Health is giving the body something that supports a part of the body to function effectively'

In the Word Web, 'Health' is defined as 'absence of disease'.
Do you wonder why we spend our lives resisting disease or fearing having a disease? Eventually, we get what we resist - because what we resist persist.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in 1946 as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Realizing and Living My Utmost Potential Part 2: Food: Recreating Myself : Food Preparation

Recreating Myself

Living Principles

Last Wednesday, I gave a Cooking Class.

I introduced myself to them and told them my story of how in the middle of my healthy eating craze, I was diagnosed with 4th stage breast cancer and my healing process, plus my food story:

From a vegetarian, vegan, raw foodist, fruitarian, and 'trying-hard breatharian'

To someone who is now eating animal meat, vegetables, fruits etc.

I also shared with them what I saw in my food logs and blood sugar logs:
https://juneroca.selz.com/
I shared with them some of the things I saw in my investigation:
1. That my blood sugar shoots up after 2 hours of eating a plate of fruits. I used to eat a lot of fruits which changed now as I investigate how much sugar is in fruits. It's not a belief that i learned because someone said so - as a be-LIE-f. It is a product of my investigation. It is easy for the mind to imagine things someone said in the mind and inflate it, rather than use physical measurements.

2. That vegetables also have sugar and carbohydrate content - which I did not see before when i was in a 'healthy eating craze' because i was looking through my mind's eyes - using my mind to inflate the value of fruits because of my fear of disease which is equal to fear of not being in control of my body. I did not see vegetables as what they are - as food, a substance used to nourish the body. I saw it as a cure - within the belief that If i eat vegetables, I will become healthy and my fear of dis-ease and death will be gone - an illusion of wholeness rather than real wholeness. I did not realize that I am fueling the fear of disease through my desire to be 'healthy' and eating the food that i desire. My belief that it was 'healthy' and my belief that the other food items not included in my diet is 'not healthy' - was reinforcing that.

I saw that my belief that 'vegans and vegetarians attend only vegetarian or vegan cooking classes and will not attend cooking classes where there's meat in the kitchen, is just my own projection of my fears when i was in this 'healthy eating craze' - where i did not eat vegetarian food cooked in a pot where meat was cooked (which is me judging animals as not healthy and vegetables more healthy - a judgment that i forgave myself for and in the process of correcting myself).

There were  vegans and meat eaters in the class. There's cooked and raw food items in the kitchen and I talked to them about my sugar and my food logs.  I told them I am a health coach.

One girl asked me: So is this health?
I said, 'it depends what your definition of health is'. She left before I was able to tell her that health is not just absence of disease, or eating vegetables, fruits, superfoods or detoxing.

We have to make an investigation to find out if fear of sickness or disease is the starting point for why one is doing it or getting into it. First, if there is an intense desire to make oneself healthy, we have to identify the fear that can be fueling it, released through self-forgiveness and corrected. Most of it for me was fear of not being in control as I connected disease with not having control of my physical body and mind, and health is a condition where i am in control of my life. The fear then will do the very thing that we fear will happen to us when we have disease.

Health is overall wellness - physical, mental, and social alignment to what is best for all.

Animals and plants are not here to be judged like in a beauty competition or health competition, rather, to be acknowledged for being here to support the physical body's optimum survival through providing it nutrition.

This is my correction - how i changed from a raw food 'die-hard' un-cooking 'chef' to an 'All Diet I embrace all life' cooking and un-cooking 'chef'. I am in the process of self-perfection, so this is not the end but a journey to life

My starting point changed from 'what is good for me', to 'what is best for all'.

The process of 'mind deconstruction' (through self-forgiveness) started and the result is physically visible in my cooking classes. I am enjoying this expression.

There were concerns that this will not work in the beginning, but I pushed through my self-imposed mind limitations and gave the cooking class to correct my 'judgmental' outlook of what the 'healthy diet' is. It works! I had 10 attendees recently and it had been going on for 1 year:
