My Expanded Definition of the word 'Birthday':

The day that I was born as the breath in a body, where i breathe the breath of Life, realizing that i am part of the whole that is Life, and within that, a decision is made to stand for what is best for all life - the eartth, humans, plants, animals etc. 

The decision to assist in providing all a means to live life in dignity, where all can get the basic necessities they need to survive so all can enjoy life is commonsensical.
