Who's WEALTHY?

The Word "WEALTHY"

Wealth is not about some having more than another while some have less than another.

We are talking about the Earth's Body.

ALL the ORGAN-isms  in that body can have the basic necessities to survive.

The earth gave equally for all.

It is about all having the basic necessities to survive - so we are able to express ourselves in this world.

WE as ALl  as THOU as You

Birth Control Pills, Health, Jokes, and Pregnancy In The Community

===

In this blog, I want to explore the birth control pill and its role in women's lives referencing my experience when I was growing up.

The women in our community visited the municipal health office when they have a problem with health care issues. When they get sick or any of their family members get sick, they get free medicine from the health office.  Sometimes, the supply was limited so the women were unable to be treated. They do not have any health care coverage insurance or anything like that since they were not employed. It's worth mentioning here that even those employed did not have it.

Most of them also visited the health care center to get some birth control pills. My mom was a municipal health employee and I came with her sometimes to visit her office. She gave these women some birth control pills to keep them from getting pregnant. Most of the pills being distributed at that time came from the government. Most of them contained estrogen, the female hormone. Sometimes she gave them IUD (Intra Uterine Device) and with the help of her uncle who was the municipal health doctor, they tried to advice the women to plan the number of children they want to have.

When I got married, I also found myself searching for birth control pills after 3 kids. I accepted the 'pill culture ' without questioning the role of the pill or the chemicals in it like estrogen being introduced in my body which can affect my overall health.  I only became aware of my irresponsibility while talking to someone recently who wanted to take estrogen to soften ones skin. I pointed out that the body will be affected by this and as I was saying these words, I remembered myself using the birth control pill that has estrogen in it when I was having unplanned pregnancies. Like him, I too did not look at how it will affect my body's overall functioning. I was humbled by the realization and forgave myself.

The role of birth control pills in our community was only to prevent pregnancy so that men and women can partake in sexual pleasure - that could potentially stop boredom and anguish in an uncertain world. They hoped this will stop them (rich or poor) from being lonely or 'feeling alone' in a relationship. The pill will also release the 'burden' of taking responsibility for financially supporting kids after birth. This was accepted as if this was the 'solution'. It was as if sex had no other purpose other than to satisfy a desire for pleasure.

Sex as physical interaction of 2 bodies without desire for pleasure but is being used to support the physical body - was unheard of.

In the absence of money, tv, movies, etc., what do you do at night when there's no electricity, to entertain yourself?
Have sex and make babies.

Is that logic or fuzzy logic?

That is fuzzy logic, yet it was accepted and allowed in the form of jokes. In this small town where I grew up, no one dared to ask. It just became a part of our community jokes. I heard many people including my mom and grandmother say this joke over and over again. I ended up saying it and everyone in my family started saying it. So, I interpreted this as if it was okay to make jokes out of problems and just laugh it off rather than provide an effective solution that will benefit everyone in the community. There were no factual answers given nor was there a resolution to end the problem. The easiest way for them to solve the problem is for them to give birth control pills to the women in the community.

But if we look at the common sense behind it, we can pinpoint the problem and educate the women about the role of sex, how many children one can plan to have in a family that will be mutually beneficial for the family and community. Developing businesses which can assist women and men in the community to get income so they can support the family can also help. But what can really help is a basic income guarantee that will provide monthly income - as unconditional guaranteed support for everyone including children who will be born in this world from birth to death that is currently being looked at in other European countries like Sweden and Norway.

Lessons I Learned From My Daughter's Stay: Comfort Equals Money

We are travelling to see my daughter who is visiting North Carolina from the Philippines for a week for work training.

It is very interesting that after travelling for 4 hrs. we can sleep and rest at a motel for $62. We still have to travel 10 hrs. tomorrow from Malvern, Arkansas to Tennessee then to our final destination - Asheville, North Carolina, where we will pick-up my daughter from the airport.

That is how much we pay for comfort. We can sleep in the car and be uncomfortable for no money but we choose to be comfortable for the night and pay the fee.

Comfort = money

This is why we have to earn more money. The homeless and the poor in the streets of LA, Dallas, the Philippines etc. cannot afford this comfort. The ones with money can.

We avoid discomfort but with no money, we do not have a choice.

It would be cool to see every human able to afford a comfortable home where they can rest and enjoy a good nights sleep.

The 'I Am Poor' Mind Pattern: Voiceless Part 2

Youtube Link

Mind Pattern

>I am powerless without money
>I do not have a voice
>Please pity me
>give me alms or charity in cash or in kind

The fact is, without money we cannot have the basic necessities to survive.
Here, I am looking at a belief that If I do not have money, I do not have a voice, therefore powerless.
Here, there is a desire to be pitied and to receive alms or charity.

Wanting to be pitied and accepting less than what we are worth, like alms or charity is not good enough. We are all parts of this one life so we have equal rights to the resources given to us equally by the earth - we have to speak up and rewrite this mind pattern and create a world that guarantees survival for all.

===
I will rewrite this pattern by using self-forgiveness, redefining words and writing a self-correction script - using a commitment statement to correct myself in every moment - when I see myself getting into this pattern.
===

What is Self-forgiveness?

It is the process by which an individual forgives oneself for accepting and allowing self to separate from objective reality, releasing positive and negative value judgments such as good or bad, right or wrong, positive or negative - as subjective interpretations of reality regarding something or someone that leads to stability as breath.

Self-forgiveness Statements:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I do not have a voice and that because I have no money, I am powerless - rather than see, realize and understand that money is distributed unequally - others receive more and others receive less - so it is for me to  assist and support a system where all have the basic necessities to survive - starting with a living income guarantee - supporting equality.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to desire to be pitied believing that that will make others give me a little bit of money so I can survive, instead of seeing and realizing that - I am giving myself a value that is less than life - by being someone who needs charity to survive - rather than giving myself a value equal to life - someone who is part of the whole - that is life, one who has the right to receive equal resources from the earth - and one who has the right to receive an amount of money that guarantees survival from birth to death.

Correction Script

I commit myself to blog and speak about the problems of inequality and the solutions available  -  to pave the way for a society that aligns its expression to the expression of life, where the main principle of life is the basis of its social policy and decisions - 'what is best for all'.

I commit myself to redefine the word 'poor'

The Story of Sonia: Christmas, The Mind Pattern of Giving,The Word Help and Survival

In the News:

Pinay who inspired Cannes film now living in poverty

'Auntie Terry' to attend premiere of 'Ilo Ilo' in Singapore

MANILA - The Filipina domestic helper who inspired the Cannes-winning film "Ilo Ilo" is set to attend the premiere of the movie in Singapore on August 29.
Teresita "Auntie Terry" Sajonia was recently visited by Singaporean director Anthony Chen in San Miguel, Iloilo, together with his younger brother, Christopher.
Sajonia took care of Chen and his brothers 16 years ago.
An article published in Singapore's Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Zaobao reported how Sajonia, 56, is now living in poverty and has been neglected by the relatives she used to help financially when she was still a domestic helper.

The Word Web's definition of the word 'Help' is:
v.
Give help or assistance; be of service

This definition of this word is being used in the Philippine scene:

Most Filipinos give help or assistance to family when one feels guilty that one did not help as much as one could because one did not have the means/money to help when one was barely surviving in the Philippines, so when one gets a good paying job abroad one gives gifts in the form of money, education etc. to ones relatives then has the illusion that one has transcended ones guilt, so feels good about oneself. But when one loses that good paying job and asks for help in turn from the people they have helped in the past, and gets rejected, then they go into regret. They regret having helped that person and blames oneself for helping them in the first place.

Here's the Mind Pattern

>one is Poor and does not have much money to survive let alone give gifts
>one cannot give gifts to relatives
>one feels bad
>one strengthens ones resolve to earn more money
> one becomes wealthy
>one gives gifts to poor relatives and friends
>one feels good
>one feels 'useful' and 'powerful'
>one loses job and money
>one feels 'useless and powerless'
>one asks help from ones relatives
>no one gives help
>one goes into regret that one helped and blame the persons one helped
>one lives in poverty and hope that we become wealthy and rich one day
>one is given help or one finds another job that pays good money
>one give gifts to family and friends
>one loses ones job again

The pattern repeats itself

During Christmas, this is the pattern that plays out, just a little bit different:. let's have a look:

>Its Christmas
>one buys gifts
>one feels good about giving gifts to relatives and friends
>one feels 'powerful' and 'useful'
>After Christmas, we look at the expenses we incurred in giving gifts
>we realized we overspent
>one saw ones credit card debt is too much
>one decides to repay the credit card company every month
>one loses job
>one feels 'useless and powerless'
>one decides not to pay the credit card debts because one does not have the money to pay
>one realize no one is going to lend one money if one do not have a credit line nor a job
>one regrets spending so much money in gifts
>one works hard in replenishing the money in the dwindling bank account
>Christmas comes again
>one gives gifts again
>one loses ones job again

The pattern repeats itself

The story of the Filipina overseas worker above is our own story of survival which we repeat again and again during Christmas, when we give to charity etc.

In a world that does not honor all life, there's the 'haves' and the 'have-nots'. There's the ones who can afford to give and the ones waiting for gifts, hoping.

This is what happens in a world where not all is given the chance to live in dignity where NOT everyone has enough money to get the basic necessities they need to survive all year long.

The feelings of 'love' usually comes from 'giving help' which turns to feelings of 'uselessness, powerlessness and hopelessness' when one loses ones job or source of income.

That's why we created Santa Claus. That's why we call the ones who help us as 'Santa Claus' .

So, we have to question our motive when we give gifts or when we give help. The question we want to ask ourselves is:

How can we give a REAL Gift that lasts?

We can live a life where we do not have to wait for Christmas to get gifts.

Expanding The Word 'Help'
To give assistance; where assistance is about the activity of contributing to that which is what life is about, giving ALL a dignified life, hence, be of service to life, realizing we are all parts of life that is birthed here and therefore equals - with equal opportunity to survive.

Redefining The Word Poverty

The Word 'Poverty'

The mind meaning of the word within the sound i associated it with is:

P-oor o-VERT-l-Y (overtly or observably)  being robbed of their share

I am correcting myself within my use of this word and redefining the word, as i have used this word within my own interpretation of poverty - where i was directed by my emotions - so that i used it in a biased way disregarding the real meaning of the word - the essence of the word.

Redefinition

P-oor OVERT-l-Y (overtly or observably) being given their share

Dictionary meaning: The state of having little or no money and few or no material possessions

This is a limited definition so i am going to redefine this by adding some perspective on the consequence outflow of poverty:

Poverty is the state of having little or no material possession as they are being robbed of their share to the resources given by the earth for all to survive in dignity.

This results in crime, child prostitution, physical suffering, inability to get medical attention, inability to get education etc.

It is to realize that if we continue to disregard the poverty in society that we will eventually face it because it will be presenting itself again and again.

We had been trying to solve poverty for a long time, yet we have not come up with a workable solution that will stop it from its roots, otherwise, we will all loose.

This will affect all of us eventually as this will result to an unbalanced economy which will be full of corruption, crime, prostitution etc.

The fear to survive in a world where there's a big gap between the rich and the poor, in a world where there's inequality, where we see the poor not having food to eat while the rich can choose what food to eat will make us react in many different ways which will eventually result to stress.

The body is being abused within this, as within the body's reaction to fear in the form of stress, physical energy is transformed into mind energy for the mind to use, so eventually this will breed diseases that will remind us of what we accept and allow and the consequence we will have to face.

I suggest to look at the solution to stop poverty - Basic/Living Income, Guaranteed from birth to death so all will survive in dignity.

India's New Food Security Bill: Is This The Solution To Poverty?

This is a video commentary on India's New Food Security Bill
Is this really the solution to poverty of is this just a band -aid or a temporary solution to hunger and poverty?

'For the idea of Basic Income that is currently being proposed by various groups around the world to work, one needs to look at the whole point of resources within countries and the most effective way to bring about a source that will be able to provide the monetary resources for a Basic Income for everyone – so that each one has got a basic level of dignity – would be to Nationalize all the Resources – whether it is mining or production within a country – to structure the products produced and the resources produced through a pricing structure that produces enough profit so that such money is specifically dedicated to pay a Basic Income to everyone in the country.

This is how the shareholder becomes the citizen and therefore the citizen benefits from the shareholding and the Basic Income becomes the way that the profit of the business is utilized to help everyone. Each one will be made aware of buying products from the very companies that are producing the income that will become the Basic Income Guaranteed. In this way, the Basic Income becomes possible, it is a form of socialism and it brings capitalism or the ownership principle of capitalism into a place where all citizens of the country become part of the basic capital, which is the basic resource that is then utilized for the benefit of all the citizens within the country.
This way the corporation = becomes government, the shareholder = the citizen, the profit = the Basic Income Guaranteed and you have financially sustainable basic solution to create integrity and to bring about the end of poverty within a country. From that perspective one can then develop business structures of competition, but there are certain things that are not part of competition: the human should not compete with each other to the extent where poverty is caused or where people are driven to starvation, or where people do not have homes or food – that is not competition, that is brutality and is completely unacceptable.'
